These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SquadWeft platform operated by SquadWeft ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using SquadWeft, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SquadWeft. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using SquadWeft on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Keep your password secure and not share it with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not create multiple accounts or impersonate other users

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SquadWeft to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Spam, solicit, or send unsolicited messages
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Scrape or extract data from the platform without permission
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than genuine professional collaboration and project building

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

4. Squad and Content Rules

When you create a squad or post content on SquadWeft, you agree that:

  • Your squad represents a genuine project or idea — fake or misleading squads are prohibited
  • You will not use squad listings to recruit for illegal activities
  • Role offers must accurately describe the commitment and compensation type
  • You own or have the right to share any content you post
  • You are responsible for communications with applicants and must treat them respectfully

5. Intellectual Property

Your content

You retain ownership of all content you post on SquadWeft (profiles, squad descriptions, posts, applications). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the Service.

Our platform

SquadWeft and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SquadWeft and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without explicit written permission.

6. Subscription and Payments

SquadWeft is currently offered free of charge during its beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or modify pricing in the future. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material pricing changes before they take effect.

SquadWeft offers free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time — you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at support@squadweft.com
  • VAT may apply depending on your location in accordance with EU tax regulations

7. Privacy

Your use of SquadWeft is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

SquadWeft is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • That the Service will be available at all times without interruption
  • That squads found on the platform will lead to successful projects or partnerships
  • The accuracy or completeness of user-generated content
  • That any collaboration formed through SquadWeft will be legally binding without a separate agreement between the parties

We strongly recommend that squad members formalize their collaboration with a written co-founder or collaboration agreement. SquadWeft is not responsible for disputes between users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquadWeft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SquadWeft, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to SquadWeft at our discretion if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SquadWeft shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of SquadWeft after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
